What this page covers

Last reviewed 15 October 2026

Visionary Dreams Lab is an educational publisher. We write about methods for visual focus, eye comfort, and concentration during screen-heavy work and study. The site does not provide medical services and we do not process clinical records.

Because that work involves reading guides, opening the contact form, and letting us understand which pages help people, some personal data passes through the site. This policy sets out the two categories of data we collect, the reasons behind each one, the legal grounds we rely on, how long records stay with us, and the options you have if you want to see, correct, or remove something we hold. It applies to visionarydreamslab.info only, and it should be read together with our cookie policy, which covers the smaller technical files that make pages and forms work.

We have kept the language plain on purpose. Where a term has a legal meaning, such as processing or legitimate interest, we explain it in the sentence where it appears rather than leaving it to a glossary. If anything here is unclear, write to us through the contact page and we will answer in writing.

Data we collect

Two categories reach us. One you hand over yourself; the other arrives automatically while you read.

Submitted by you

Information you send us

When you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message content you type. Questions about the guides, a correction, a request about your data, or a note about a broken link all arrive the same way. Nothing is added to that record beyond what you write.

Technical information

Standard server and analytics data: which pages were viewed, the referring link that brought you here, an approximate location derived from your IP address, your browser type, and your device type. This is aggregate reading behaviour. It tells us whether the screen fatigue chapter is reached more often than the attention drills, not who you are.

Why we collect it

Each category has a stated purpose. If a purpose does not exist, the data does not stay.

  • Answering you

Contact details are used to reply to your message and to keep a record of editorial correspondence. If you report a correction to a method page, we need the exchange on file to make the change accurately.

  • Keeping the site working

Technical data shows which pages load slowly, which guides get read to the end, and where a broken link interrupts someone. It also helps us spot automated or abusive traffic before it degrades the site for ordinary readers.

  • Improving coverage

Aggregate reading numbers tell us which topics deserve a longer explanation and which pages should be merged. No individual reading session is used to build a profile.

  • What we never do

We do not use submitted contact details for marketing, we do not send newsletters to form entries, and we do not build advertising profiles from them. We do not sell personal data.

Legal basis and consent

Where consent is required, we ask for it at the moment it matters. Submitting a form, accepting optional cookies, or choosing to stay on a page after reading the cookie notice are the points where you decide. Consent can be withdrawn later, and withdrawing it does not affect anything you did before.

Technical data that the site needs to load pages and deliver forms is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a working website. That interest is limited to keeping the site available and secure. You can object to it, and the cookie policy explains how to withdraw consent for optional cookies through your browser settings.

Cookies and similar technologies

Small files with large jobs: some hold the page together, others only tell us which chapters get read.

Always on

Essential cookies

These support basic functions such as form submission and remembering your cookie choice. Without them, sending a message through the contact form would not work. They are not used to track you across other sites.

Your choice

Optional analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand site usage in aggregate: which pages are opened, how long a reader stays, and where a section is abandoned. They are optional. The cookie policy lists the categories in use and the browser settings that turn them off.

Third-party services

Hosting, analytics, and form delivery may be handled by outside providers that process data on our behalf.

Those providers are bound to handle the data only for the purposes we specify, and they are not permitted to reuse it for their own marketing. In practice this means a hosting provider keeps the server running, an analytics service counts page views in aggregate, and a mail service carries your form message to our inbox. Each of them sees only the portion of the data their job requires.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share contact details with advertisers. If we ever change providers in a way that alters what is processed, this page will be updated before the change takes effect.

Server hosting

Keeps the site online and stores routine access logs.

Usage analytics

Counts page views and reports them as totals, not as profiles.

Form delivery

Routes your message from the contact form to our inbox.

Retention

How long each record stays with us, and what happens after.

Contact messages

Kept while the query is open and for a short period afterwards so we can keep a record of editorial correspondence. Then they are deleted or anonymised.

Deleted or anonymised
Analytics

Retained in aggregated form only. Once numbers are rolled up into totals, the underlying session detail is no longer available to us.

Aggregated, not per-person
Server logs

Rotated on a routine schedule as part of normal server maintenance. Older entries drop out of the window automatically.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. These rights are not conditional on explaining why you want them.

To make a request, write to us through the contact page with enough detail for us to find the record: the email address you used, the approximate date of the message, and what you would like done. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting, so that we do not hand your information to someone else. We aim to respond within a reasonable period, and if a request cannot be met in full we will say which part is limited and why.

Security and children

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data submitted through the site, including encrypted transmission of form content. Access to messages is limited to the people who need to read them in order to reply. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute protection, so please avoid sending sensitive health or identity documents through the contact form.

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the form, contact us with the address used and we will delete the record. The same route applies if you find that a message was submitted on someone else's behalf without their agreement.

Changes to this policy

A short history of how we keep this document honest.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the site or applicable law. The revised version is published on this page with a new effective date, and the date at the top of the page always reflects the version you are reading. Continued use of the site after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy. If a change would meaningfully affect how contact details are handled, we will note it clearly here rather than relying on you to compare versions.
